Leicester City was beaten 2 goals to one at home by Fulham. This was the second win for Fulham in the 2020/2021 English premier league season with Leicester missing the chance to go level on points with Tottenham Hotspurs and Liverpool united with their second successive loss.
The visitors scored twice in eight first-half minutes, their first goal arriving when Ademola Lookman slotted past Kasper Schmeichel following Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa’s driving run from inside his own half.
Fulham’s second win of the season took them up two places to 17th, while Leicester remains fourth and three points behind leaders Tottenham. A trip to the King Power Stadium marked the start of a difficult run of fixtures for Parker’s side, with a trip to Manchester City and the visit of Liverpool to come and meetings with five of the ‘big six’ in their next nine. The win was clear evidence that Fulham is no pushover and that they can rise up on certain occasions.
